Wendy Potgieter

Wendy is a local Noordhoek artist, working mostly in oils. Her art is intuitive, capturing the essence of movement and light, from fragments of moments in life and surrounds. There is a spontaneous energy that goes into each artwork. She loves painting alla prima, keeping the energy in the brush mark on the canvas, whilst searching for her own unique way of achieving an emotional, expressive outcome rather than an accurate realistic rendition. She’s on a continually evolving path and loves imperfection!
