In 2014, a Belgian gallerist discovered Susan’s art and invited her to exhibit in Paris, this led to a number of opportunities where she exhibited in London, Oxford, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Miami and other cities.
Susan collects clay from the dams outside Porterville and either hand-builds her clay pieces or uses a mould to shape some stoneware pieces and then glazes with her own blend of pigments and ceramic glazes. She bisque fires her pieces in her kilns and then the second firing is for glazing. Some pieces are fired up to four times.
This artist is passionate about our environment and uses her artwork as a platform to draw attention to ecologic concerns where possible.
